New Admins and Old Admins

In the past 24 hours we've added or re-added several admins. Here's the deal:
Fury - an old regular on our server, he's ready for some leadership.
Flux - also an old regular, aka "Snipaa". .
Moon Daddy - another former regular who we were itching to recruit before our hiatus.
Dew - former admin makes a return.
Duck, Chuck Norris, Job-for-a-cowboy and myself are still around.

We are excited to get things rolling again!

We decided that there is a high demand for a quality server in cs_assault. We are recruiting admins and we have put up a server at 75.127.67.16:27015 as of 6/11/2010.

Epitaph

Here stood the counter-strike community of Enlightened Gamers. We sought to contribute to positive healthy gaming experiences across platforms and games, from our small place in one game.

Enlightened Gamers began as a counter-strike server community. An alternative to what we felt was a good gaming community gone bad, a number of us left the older gaming community given to frequent tyranny and bad karma on the part of its leadership, with the idea that the people will always be more important than the game, or its leaders. Based on that premise, we founded Enlightened Gamers.

Our vision was based on the principles of putting other gamers before one's self, contributing to the dignity of all we encounter, and speaking out against irresponsible servers and gamers through whatever means necessary. We encouraged this through community which provided competition and the honing of our skills.

In recent months, our counter-strike server has grown quiet. Many of us have moved onto other games or other phases of life. It is our hope that what we experienced together in our counter-strike community can contribute, even if just as a blip on a screen, to improving attitudes and environments for gaming community across cyberspace.

We are thankful for the friendships cultivated and we hope we have made an impact within the time we existed, to make a statement against the status quo- to encourage good karma in gaming, and to extend such encouragement into wherever our gaming friends go.
